Features of the Best Mens Boxers for Camping

Moisture-wicking underwear is great for camping. Sweat happens and it’s often the case that you need to dry clothing on a camping trip. With this in mind, many people suggest avoiding cotton and sticking to synthetic underwear because it’s more breathable and wicks away moisture from the skin.

Material – Merino wool and polyester are examples of synthetic material and in case you might be wondering is nylon good for men’s underwear? yes this is also synthetic and quick drying etc. Merino Wool is soft and often combined with other fabrics such as nylon and spandex. This means it can provide more flexibility and durability and wool does a decent job of wicking away moisture too.

Cut – There are different styles of men’s underwear for camping and some prefer boxers to briefs or a mixture of both. You move about often when camping and for this reason, I believe it’s important not to pick a pair that fits too tight to the skin. That said, you don’t want loose fitting pair of boxers either as they tend to rub up against the skin and become irritating on a multi-day trip.

Durability – When you pay this much money, you should expect these men’s underwear for camping to last a long time. Synthetic fabrics are more durable than most and they hold up well to abrasion which is why they are so suitable as boxers for camping.

Odor Retention – Clothing holds onto odors. While synthetic holds onto odors more than other fabrics, some manufacturers use a finish that stops the build up of bacteria which causes this smell!

Anyway, here’s a closer look at the best men’s underwear for camping and just so you know, the last few suggestions are personal favourites that I hope to purchase in the near future.
